Rarity and Quality of the 1910-D Indian Head Eagle
The eye appeal is generally high but a large number of heavily abraded coins exist. There is an equal number of genuinely attractive coins with good color, nice luster and a pleasing overall look.
There are 8 MS67’s known in NGC holders while PCGS has graded one example this high. There are quite a few MS66 specimens that can be obtained.
The 1910-D Indian Head Eagle is the most common Indian Head Eagle produced at one of the branch mints. It is easily located in grades up to and including MS64. In Gem Uncirculated, it is much harder to find than the 1926 or 1932 issues. Examples which grade MS66 are sometimes available but these are very scarce and pieces in MS67 are very rare, as one might expect.
