Circulated Availability, AU Scarcity, and Rare Uncirculated Grades
The 1892-CC is somewhat available in any circulated grade, although choice, original AU58 coins have become hard to find in recent years. It is scarce and underrated in all uncirculated grades, with most of the pieces known falling into the MS60 to MS61 range. Properly graded MS62’s are very scarce, under 100 seen, and this date is very rare in MS63. About a dozen have been seen in MS63, with only one finer as this is written in February 2023.
