Mike Thillet has been a cornerstone of Universal Coin & Bullion for 24 years, bringing expertise, passion, and dedication to his role as Assistant Director. Born in Puerto Rico, Mike earned his bachelor’s degree in science and general studies from Lamar University, where he also became a proud member of the Epsilon Kappa Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Today, he serves as a Chapter Advisor, mentoring the next generation of leaders at Lamar University.
A numismatic enthusiast, Mike specializes in the Gold American Eagle series, captivated by its beauty, investment potential, and strong market performance. He values the American Gold Eagle for its intrinsic value as a U.S. Mint product backed by the government, its consistent demand among collectors and investors, and its historical ability to retain and grow value over time, making it a cornerstone for wealth preservation. His deep knowledge and commitment to client success have earned him the role of Assistant Director, a testament to his outstanding contributions to the company.
Mike is deeply engaged in his community, supporting charities such as the Cancer Society, Garth House, and Boys Haven. His passion for mentoring extends beyond his professional and fraternity roles, as he actively guides others in both personal and professional development.
Residing in Texas with his wife and three children—twin daughters Mackinley and Reese, and son Fuller—Mike enjoys quality family time playing Fortnite with his son, competing in Golden Tee, and indulging his hobbies of RC cars and fishing. A dedicated coin collector himself, Mike finds joy in the artistry and value of numismatics, further fueling his professional expertise.
