Chris Lyons, a Senior Account Representative at Universal Coin & Bullion since 2009, brings extensive expertise and passion to his role. Originally from Waukegan, Illinois, Chris grew up in Tennessee before moving to Texas at age 18. Recently married to his wonderful wife, Melyna, he balances a vibrant personal life with a strong commitment to his professional and community endeavors.
An avid coin collector, Chris specializes in the rare $3 Gold Indian Princess and Type II Liberty series, captivated by their historical significance and stunning design, which he believes tell a compelling story of America’s past. His expertise in the Dr. Fuljenz Select 4 program allows him to connect with collectors, sharing their love for the artistry and history of coins. Additionally, he collects vintage advertising pieces and maintains an extensive sports card and memorabilia collection.
Chris’s adventurous spirit shines through his hobbies, which include shooting sports, hunting, and training versatile hunting dogs. Passionate about big sheep and goat hunting around the world, he has hunted in the United States, Spain, Argentina, and New Zealand. Deeply engaged in his community, Chris serves as a board member of the Masonic Lodge Charities Foundation and is a member of the Shriners. As Chairman of Southeast Texas Friends of the NRA and a member of the Wild Sheep Foundation’s Chadwick Ram Society, he was honored as the NRA Volunteer of the Week in 2017 for his outstanding contributions.
