1890-CC Double Eagle: Availability and High-Grade Rarity
The 1890-CC double eagle is sporadically available in all circulated grades, although choice, problem-free AU55 to AU58 examples are becoming harder to find than in the past. This date is among the more obtainable Carson City double eagles in the lowest uncirculated grades and is scarce in properly graded MS62. However, it is a very rare date in MS63, with less than ten known.
