1887-S Double Eagle – Availability and High-Grade Rarity

The 1887-S has become more available in the lower uncirculated grades and is now reasonably available in MS60 to MS61. It remains scarce in MS62 and rare in properly graded MS63. There arean estimated three to five known in MS64, and there are one to two known in MS65.
