1884-S Double Eagle – Grade Rarity and High-Grade Survivors

The 1884-S double eagle is usually seen in AU58 to MS61 grades, and it is common in this range. It is somewhat available in MS63, but it is quite scarce in properly graded MS64. There are about six to eight coins known in MS65.
