The 1877-CC double eagle is seen most often in the EF40 to AU50 grades. It is moderately scarce in AU55 and scarce in properly graded AU58. In uncirculated, there are around five dozen known with most grading MS60 to MS61. There are an estimated 12 to 15 in MS62 and none finer. To qualify in the Condition Census, an 1877-CC double eagle would have to grade at least MS62.
