1875-S Double Eagle: Varieties and Condition Rarity

A number of die varieties exist but these remain mostly unexplored. They typically entail the size and placement of the mintmark.

The 1875-S Double Eagle is very common in lower grades and typically can be located without much effort in MS60. This date is very scarce in MS62 becoming even rarer in MS63 and better grades.
